This week, we enter the ‘N’ states. Our first stop is the solidly Republican Cornhusker State of Nebraska. A longtime GOP stronghold, Nebraska only makes political news because it gives three of its five electoral votes to the winner of each of the state’s three congressional districts and doesn’t award them all to the statewide winner as 48 other states do. That makes at least one of its electoral votes, the one attached to the congressional district in Omaha, competitive.

Our second stop will be in Nevada, a decades-old battleground state and one of the country’s fastest-growing. Nevada has a strong libertarian bent but has been Democratic since 2008 thanks to a robust turnout operation among Nevada Democrats. However, that record may be in jeopardy this year; it could be the only state to have rejected Trump twice but vote for him again this time.
